Joy is in Our Hearts

we were pressed on every side
full of fear and troubled thoughts
for good reason we carried heavy hearts

it is good to come together
in our friendship to remember
all the reasons hope is in our hearts

hallelujah hallelujah
Christ our joy and strength
hallelujah hallelujah
Christ our joy and strength

now with patience in our suffering
perseverance in our prayers
with good reason this hope is in our hearts

hallelujah hallelujah
Christ our joy and strength
hallelujah hallelujah
Christ our joy and strength

oh we saw the face of Angels
many good things well secured
for good reason this joy is in our hearts

hallelujah hallelujah
Christ our joy and strength
hallelujah hallelujah
Christ our joy and strength

hallelujah hallelujah
Christ our joy and strength
hallelujah hallelujah
Christ our joy and strength

for good reason joy is in our hearts

  • Life is busy with wedding stuff and work
  • Jake and I went to Lanesboro this past Sunday and floated down the river in tubes…it was a lot of fun and for the most part relaxing. Jake statement of the day: “they’re getting closer Alexi (the other tubers), start paddling. No, you’re paddling the wrong way, I’ll just do it.” So I’m not the most help when it comes to “getting” away from other people partly due to my lack of brains or something and my short arms and legs compared to Jacob’s.
  • I have two days off of work, so hopefully I’ll have two productive days
  • Currently listening to: Pandora (Sara Groves station)
  • I woke up with a sore throat this morning….super annoying
  • This Saturday it will be three weeks till our wedding…craziness…it’s finally getting close!
  • I must go wash dishes and pick-up the place
  • I have a new little friend at work….I am known as the girl who gave him a piece of paper.
  • Thought of the day: Kids who have to live in poor conditions because of their parents stupid choices… it’s sad to see and frustrating. I just want to tell the parents to grow-up, be responsible, and try being patient with your kids.

Weekly Recap

* I started this last week, but never posted it.

In one word or phrase: Fast

This week home has gone by fast.

I’m dreaming of you: Wedding details and seeing Jake at the end of this week….a little over a month till we’re married.

Song on repeat: O Love That Will Not Let Me GO

Gotta write it down: “When we get the big picture right, the other things have their proper place. We’re not just hauling our children around town, but raising a dynasty of prophets, priests, and kings who bear God’s image.” The Gospel Driven Life by Michael Horton.

Lesson learned: how to make s’mores in the oven. I helped with the snacks the last two days of VBS and we made s’mores in the oven.

Picture to frame: I just received our engagement photo session CD.

Highlight of the week: Outlets with Mother and Friday Bike ride with Nathaniel

Weekend to-do list: Bridal shower to attend (I haven’t had a party in honor of me since I was I think 13 yrs. old…weird), Jake and my parents get to meet…fun!
