Detox Review

This past week I did the detox where I had to drink this powder mixed with water 3- 4 times a day. The “shake” was pretty much a bunch of vitamins. I also could eat as many green cooked or raw vegetables (+ cauliflower) asĀ  I wanted.

I ended up only drinking 3 shakes a day because it was so disgusting tasting I didn’t want to drink more than that. If it wasn’t for the shake thing; eating just vegetables wasn’t that bad. I actually wasn’t that hungry all week especially the first few days.

I would just munch on cauliflower or kale while at work and then steamed some broccoli at night with some penzey’s seasons sprinkled on plus take a shake in the morning, lunch, and dinner.And drink a lot of water.

In the end, would I do it again? No mostly because the shakes were really disgusting. I did lose some weight (mostly excess water weight so my stomach doesn’t feel bloated) which wasn’t necessarily my goal but it feels nice to be more at about what i would consider to be my ideal weight for my age and size. I felt lighter in a sense, but felt like I had less energy. I also would have never thought that I wouldn’t mind eating that many vegetables…it really wasn’t too bad.

Game plan going forward?

Eating the Advance plan and my personal goals (which the advance plan will help) is to eat less sugar and incorporate more vegetables into everything.

Today I had plain greek yogurt for breakfast, chicken for lunch, and a spinach smoothie with almond milk for an after workout/dinner meal.

Tomorrow: Smoothie for breakfast, salad for lunch, eggs and spinach for dinner.
